The short version. MobiWorth is a comparison site. You do not need an account to search, we do not store payment or banking details, and your search is not forwarded to a partner page as personal data.
1. Information we collect
These are the categories we handle:
- Device information — phone models, brands, storage variants and condition preferences you select for comparison
- Usage data — pages visited and comparison history, held locally in your own browser rather than in our database
- Contact information — only what you send us yourself, by email through the contact page
- Technical data — IP address and browser type, kept in server logs for abuse control
2. How we use it
- To build the lookup you asked for and show what each platform printed
- To reply when you contact us
- To keep the service working — spotting broken routes, abusive traffic and failed provider reads
- To meet a legal obligation, which we would describe rather than quietly expand
3. Data security, stated honestly
What is actually true about how your data is handled — and what we do not claim:
- HTTPS in transit — the site is served over HTTPS by our hosting platform
- No visitor accounts — searching needs no sign-in, so there is no password or profile database of you to breach; the only logins are our own staff
- No financial data — we never collect or store payment information
- Least data collected — a comparison search builds the lookup; it is not tied to your identity
- Not claimed — security audits, certification programmes, or a fixed breach-notification deadline
- If something goes wrong — we will describe what happened and what we did on this page rather than promise a timetable
4. Third-party platforms and links
Our service hands you off to the buyback platforms we search:
- We link out to the partner pages we read, and outbound destinations are restricted to the domains we register for each platform
- Each platform has its own privacy policy, which governs what happens after the hand-off
- We are not responsible for the practices of those sites, and a MobiWorth tag on a link does not change their terms
5. Cookies and local storage
- Preference — your light/dark theme and accent choice, written to your browser's local storage and never sent to us
- Essential — a session cookie appears only when a staff member signs in to the admin area; browsing the comparison site sets no cookies
- No trackers — there is no analytics script and no advertising cookie on this site, so there is nothing optional to consent to
- Our cookie policy lists each one by name
6. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the right to:
- Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — ask for deletion where we no longer need it
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for anything you gave it for
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint about how we processed your data
- Nominate — name someone to exercise these rights on your behalf
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@mobiworth.in. Because we hold almost no personal data, the honest answer to most requests is that there is nothing to return — which we will say plainly instead of charging you for a search.
7. Children
The service is not built for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have, we delete it.
8. Where data is processed
Records live with our hosting and database providers, which we operate the site through. We do not run our own cross-border transfer programme, and we do not claim one. If a future change moves where data sits, this page is updated first.
9. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes materially we update the date above. We will not quietly narrow a promise made under an earlier version.
